Be my Valentine
It was pretty rare for ModCloth to have lifestyle imagery, so when we got a cute retro diner photoshoot I knew I wanted the image to do a lot of the talking. I thought it would be cute to have the text interact in some way with the image, and turning into a semi-circle framed the model in a way that drew the eye directly back to her.
I felt like there wasn't enough Valentine's elements in the image, so I added in some hand drawn hearts, that I would then use throughout the rest of the season to create a unified Valentine's look.
