ModCloth wanted to show off their new arrivals and message styles to travel with all in one email. When I noticed that the photoshoot took place in an airport, I decided to play up the travel theme even more with an old style arrivals board. Since the brand was very retro friendly, having the y2k look was very much appreciated. It also allowed me to play with the 'now arriving' scroll to make it match the travel theme while also adding to the new arrivals theme.

 

In that way I was able to navigate not only a dual theme within the email, but also play with some of the key branding with the retro feel.
